GNT will sponsor a walk on the Avila Beach Science Pier (middle of three piers) on Saturday, October 10th, 2026. The annual open house scheduled for November rather than October last year was cancelled by Cal Poly due to rain.

We will meet at 11AM near the entrance to the Pier with lunch to follow at the Hula Hut in Avila Beach at about 12 noon. There are restrictions on walking on this honey-combed pier but those who cannot take the long walk can join us for lunch.
